Hit Streak Over, Whales Stop Terrero Tuesday, June 26th , 2001 Lady Luck was not on the side of Luis Terrero or his teammates at City Island Ballpark. Everything went the way of the Miami Whales, who not only came away with the 5-4 victory over Daytona Beach, but also held Terrero hitless in 7 at-bats to put an end to his 21-game hitting streak. "It was a good run," Terrero said afterward. "It would be much easier to take right now if we had won." Thus far this year, Terrero is hitting .248 with 6 home runs, 32 RBIs and 46 runs scored. |
