Bourgeois Skunks Mariners Sunday, August 8th , 1999 Steve Bourgeois shut out the Bellingham Mariners, 4-0, on a 4-hit masterpiece for the Lewiston Broncs at Bengal Field. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Lewiston skipper said afterward. Bourgeois registered 3 strikeouts and issued 3 walks in pitching a gem. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Bellingham manager after the defeat. Up to now Bourgeois has compiled an ERA of 3.09 with a 3-2 mark over 7 starts.
