Randall Simon Captures SOB Award Monday, December 27th , 1999 Randall Simon is respected by most Santa Domingo Colonials fans for his no-frills style of play. The 24-year-old first baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the South of the Border Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .481 average (13-for-27) with 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and 9 runs scored. This year, Simon has hit at a .290 pace and produced 14 RBIs, 4 home runs and scored 12 runs. |
