KBO Votes Giants Morales Top Player
Monday, June 25th, 2035
Lotte's Orlando Morales would not be denied the Korean Baseball Organization Player of the Week Award for this past week. His consistent stroke, which produced 13 hits in 23 at-bats and a .565 average, made him the clear favorite to win the honor.
"You just go out there and do what you have to do," said Morales, "When I'm up, I try to focus and block everything else out of my mind and have a good at-bat. I'm up there to get a hit or advance a runner, not to get caught up in the emotion of the moment. I hope I can win this award every week."
He also tallied 2 home runs, 4 RBIs, and scored 6 runs.
For the season, Morales is hitting at a .297 clip with 9 home runs, 26 RBIs and has scored 32 runs. He has 71 hits, 24 walks and a .368 on-base percentage.
