López Goes 5-for-6 Thursday, June 25th , 2071 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Willy López today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Isotopes Park and paced the Isotopes to a 14-7 win over the Iowa Cubs. After his dynamite batting performance, the Albuquerque left fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Willy López grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, tripled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. In his season totals López has 7 home runs and a .373 batting average. |
