Javier Torres Out for Season
Saturday, August 29th , 2071
The season is apparently over for Javier Torres. The Everett Aquasox medical staff informed the club that the center fielder will be out at least 9-10 months with a ruptured medial collateral ligament. Torres was hurt in the game against NWL while running the bases. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season.
This year Torres has collected a .309 batting average to date with 108 hits in 349 at-bats, 66 RBIs, 14 home runs and scored 66 times. He has played in 97 games.
