Conditions were not ideal but Maryland and Ontario were able to put their game in the books.

The Maryland Bridegrooms topped the Ontario Blue Pirates, 4-3, in Patriot League action at Farmers Market Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Maryland pitcher and Mississauga, Canada, native Ron Dujardin. Dujardin went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-1. Getting the save was Matt French, his 5th.

Tim Thomas contributed to the Maryland win. The 33-year old catcher stroked a 2-run home run in the top of the third. For the game, Thomas was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

Dujardin told the Maryland Bulletin: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."

The Bridegrooms, now 7-14, have not found much traction so far in 2066.
