Blue Pirates Prevail, as Wildcard Series Goes to the Wire

The Ontario Blue Pirates and Maryland Bridegrooms hooked up in a classic Wildcard Series that went right down to the wire.
In the end, it's Ontario heading off to the League Championship Series, after a 2-1 win at Farmers Market Stadium tonight earned the 4-3 series win.
Outside Farmers Market Stadium, whether they were supporters of Ontario or Maryland, many fans talked about how it was a series they would never forget.
Jesus Capistran played the hero for the Blue Pirates in the series, as his MVP performance included a .296 batting average, with a .367 on-base percentage. He also had 2 home runs, 5 RBI and scored 3 runs.

Resonance Move on to League Championship Series

The excitement in Washington is palpable as the local club has advanced through the Wildcard Series.
The Washington Resonance downed the Oregon Explorers 3-0 tonight at Multnomah Stadium, to take the series 4-2.
"Things are going to get crazy in Washington for the League Championship Series. The fans are going to be behind us 100 percent, we know that," said David Evans, who earned MVP honors.
"There's a lot of motivation in our clubhouse right now to make sure we give them something to cheer about."
