The Ontario Blue Pirates knocked off the New York Empire, 7-3, at The Empire. David Burchard was a big reason Ontario won. The center fielder was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Ontario is now 56-39, 6 games up in the Patriot League North.

Ontario used a clutch hit from Rob Pollard to get the win. The second baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blue Pirates ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
