The Pennsylvania Railroaders defeated the New York Empire, 5-4. Third Baseman Zach Cowart deserved a large share of the credit. Cowart went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Railroaders. The Railroaders with just their 8th win in 27 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.

Cowart contributed in the bottom of the fourth. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Pennsylvania get the win.

"Nice to get this one," said Cowart. "We've been scuffling."
