Outlaws Use Late Rally to Win
|
The Texas Outlaws beat the Maryland Bridegrooms, 8-6, at Bridegrooms Stadium. Don MacBeth, in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Texas reliever Rob Glover was the winner. His record is now 3-0. Adan Helms took the loss. The Outlaws have now won 4 straight.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Calvin Dorey? The Texas first baseman had a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Outlaws on top, 8-6. For the game, Dorey had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"I like our mindset right now," said Texas manager Andrew Cole.
