Lions Beat Ohio, 1-0
|
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Kentucky Lions and the Ohio Knights. Kentucky won it, 1-0. Kentucky starter Judite Aldeinha was in command. Jonathan Boehlke, credited with the win in relief, is now 3-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.2 innings. The 'W' lifts Kentucky's record to 41-41.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Kentucky first baseman Chris Butler, facing Cody Messina, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Lions the 1-0 win.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Harry Wyma.
