Chris Montgomery Forced To Retire, Suffers Another Setback Tuesday, July 9th , 2047 The Reno Aces announced today that the playing career of first baseman Chris Montgomery looks to be over. Montgomery, who had been trying to recover from a torn meniscus, reported having more trouble with the injury recently and consulted specialists. Unfortunately, tests revealed that the injury had gotten worse and now Montgomery will likely have to retire from the game. This season Montgomery is hitting .233 with 7 hits, 1 home run, 2 RBIs, scored 1 run and played in 11 games. |
