Red-Hot Nieves Scorches Dodgers Friday, July 26th , 2047 It was a great day at the plate for Ismael Nieves. For his New Orleans Baby Cakes, the day was not nearly as good. The first baseman collected 5 hits in 8 tries, but his club still came up short in the win column. The Oklahoma City Dodgers snatched the victory, topping the Baby Cakes by a score of 7-6. "Well that wasn't how it was supposed to end," Nieves said later. "I'll just have to do it again and get it right." Ismael Nieves walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th, singled in the 11th, grounded out in the 13th, grounded out in the 16th and singled in the 18th.
