TEX Honors Northwest Arkansas First Baseman

It was a fantastic week for Northwest Arkansas first baseman Cory Gallant and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the Texas League Player of the Week Award.
Last week Gallant hammered the ball at a torrid .462 pace, going 12-for-26 with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
Looking at his stats this year, Gallant has compiled a .300 batting average, while hitting 14 home runs and driving in 51 runs. He has played in 127 games and scored 45 runs.
