Angels Drop Another One, 7-3
|
The Oakland Athletics dumped the Anaheim Angels, 7-3, in large part due to third baseman Pepper Peploski. On the day, Peploski went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Athletics. The winning continues for Oakland, with the latest triumph making it 7 straight.
With Oakland leading 2-0 in the bottom of the second, Peploski hit a fastball from Gary Bell for a 2-run double. It was his 36th double of the season and put the Athletics ahead, 4-0.
"We're not really clicking on anything right now," said Anaheim manager Mike Cohen.
