The 2097 postseason is over and the baseball landscape is silent. But beneath this veneer of serenity, a tension is building. Major League Baseball clubs are preparing for a long offseason of trades, speculation, contract negotiations and preparations for next year. While it won't be baseball, exactly, onlookers will grudgingly take it as a substitute until teams head into preseason camps.
