Padres Take Down Rockies, 3-2
|
The San Diego Padres and Colorado Rockies played an entertaining game for Coors Field patrons.
The Colorado Rockies got a sterling performance from pitcher Chris Bosio, but the San Diego Padres still prevailed, 3-2. Bosio threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball. Ed Brandt finished the game for San Diego and earned his 1st save.
Josh Devore helped out the San Diego cause in the top of the sixth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the left fielder was 1-4. He drove in 2 runs.
After the game, San Diego manager Mark Daniel applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
The 4th-place Padres go to 76-75.
