Orioles Come Up Short at Anaheim, 5-4
|
Led by Rowdy Tellez, the Anaheim Angels defeated the Baltimore Orioles, 5-4. Tellez was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Angels. Anaheim reliever Dave Elder picked up the win, raising his record to 2-1. Pat Mahomes was tagged with the loss. The Angels sport a record of 60-92.
Tellez had a timely hit for Anaheim in the bottom of the eighth. With Anaheim trailing 4-3, he turned a 2-2 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season, making it 5-4, Anaheim.
"This was a total team effort," said Tellez.
