|
Behind a fine performance from Mickey Mantle, the Detroit Tigers knocked off the Cleveland Indians, 6-3. Mantle was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 for the Tigers. The winning pitcher was Henderson Alvarez III. He's now 6-4. He went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits for the Tigers. Alex Hardy locked down his 5th save.
