Extra-Inning Win by Orioles Over Blue Jays
|
The Baltimore Orioles topped the Toronto Blue Jays, 7-1, in American League action at Toronto Skydome. The game was highlighted by the performance of Baltimore second baseman Jimmy Rollins. Baltimore pitcher Adbert Alzolay got the win, upping his record to 9-3. Brent Honeywell Jr. got the loss. The win puts the Orioles at 70-84, while the Blue Jays drop to 66-89.
Rollins had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 3-1 fastball from Brent Honeywell Jr., he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Orioles a 3-1 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Rollins.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Rollins.
