Keyzer 5-for-8 for Colorado Wednesday, October 14th , 2048 It was high-fives all around for Mark Keyzer at Petco Park today. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the San Diego Padres. Keyzer smashed 5 hits in 8 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 8-7 win. "Mark was hitting everything," said Rockies manager Todd Van Steensel. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Padres manager Connor Baits told BNN beat writers that Keyzer "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Keyzer oversleeps next time." Mark Keyzer flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Malik Smith in the 7th, singled in the 9th, was hit by a pitch in the 11th, doubled in the 13th, singled in the 15th and singled in the 17th.
