The Rockville Pikemen took Atlantic City pitcher Anthony Jones's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Ballpark at Bally's. The final score had Rockville getting past the Gamblers, 7-5. Jones went 6 innings and allowed 5 runs, striking out 6. Jon Keys, who went 6.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 8 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 3-9. Christian Walker was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 10 of 11 save opportunities.
Rockville used the bat of Manuel Salinas to capture the win. The designated hitter jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Pikemen ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Salinas.
With this game in the books, Rockville is 50-64, Atlantic City 43-71.
