Nisancî, Mad Popes Too Much for Surfers
Okyay Nisancî made an impact in the 10-6 Sacramento win over Long Beach. Nisancî, who led the FL in runs with 121 in 2049, was 4-5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Félix Vidaca earned the save, his 6th. The win gives the Mad Popes a record of 15-14.

Sacramento right fielder John Hopkins contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a curveball into center field for a 2-run single. It was his 2nd hit of the season and put the Mad Popes ahead, 8-3.

"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Nisancî told the Sacramento Gazette.
