Sluggers, Fountain Pin Bad Loss on Krill
The Louisville Sluggers beat the Bikini Krill, 10-1, at Kentucky Truck Plant Stadium. Mal Fountain, in particular, was impressive. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Greg Shaw, the winner, improved to 3-2. He held the Krill to 1 run on 3 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 1. Cade Miller locked down his 2nd save.

Scott Torres, the Louisville shortstop, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 2-0, Sluggers. For the game, Torres went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
