Rockville Wins, 2-0
|
Starting pitcher Danny Leach had a solid game. He was a big reason the Rockville Pikemen throttled the Atlantic City Gamblers, 2-0. In 7 innings, Leach surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. The Pikemen raised their record to 3-3.
Eric Wagner tagged a home run off Bruno Bugbie in the top of the fourth. His solo blast put the Pikemen on top, 1-0. In all, Wagner had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Rockville skipper Francisco Catazara.
