A 5-RBI performance from Majid bin Husam, who finished 3rd in the JL in on-base percentage with .395 in 2052, helped the Twin Cities River Monsters beat the Long Beach Surfers, 7-2. Edward Crutcher earned the win to go to 5-2. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts in 7 innings of work. The win puts the River Monsters at 34-28, while the Surfers drop to 31-31.

Twin Cities grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when bin Husam, who led the JL in on-base percentage with .412 in 2056, hit a 2-run double. His 8th double of the season put the River Monsters out in front, 3-2.
