Ober Slams Milestone Homer Saturday, August 10th , 2058 It was a great day for Tyler Ober, but not a good one for his Atlantic City Gamblers. The 32-year-old first baseman reached a personal milestone with his 300th career homer, but it wasn't enough to beat the Montreal Blazers, who came away with a 9-6 victory. Ober finished the day with 1 hit, 3 RBI and 1 run scored. "Well, I've conceded the fact that you can't will yourself to hit a home run," he said. "I tried hard for the last few days. It was getting to be embarrassing with the crowd standing up every time I came to the plate." Lifetime Ober has played in 1569 games with a .253 batting average.
