Hurricanes-Flyers Deal: Marroquín for Blanchard Monday, August 19th , 2058 Everybody is overjoyed with a trade consummated today by the Jacksonville Hurricanes and the Charlotte Flyers. In the deal Jacksonville got 19-year old minor league RF Thomas Blanchard from Charlotte and dealt 34-year old RHP Juan Marroquín to the Flyers. The general managers that made the swap are happy and the players are happy, too. One of the GMs commented, "This was a good swap for all concerned." To date this season, Marroquín has a record of 8 wins and 8 losses and a 3.98 ERA. He has appeared in 25 games and struck out 101 in 151.1 innings. |
