He was injured against the Long Beach Surfers while throwing a pitch. Because of a strained hamstring, the Bikini starting pitcher is expected to miss 6 weeks. Rodríguez was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen." On the season Rodríguez has compiled a 3-6 mark with a 5.20 ERA in 15 starts. In pitching 64 innings he has 43 strikeouts and 22 walks while limiting the opposition to a .297 batting average. |
