It's Héctor Silva, this year's Johnson League Steve Nebraska Golden Arm Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Silva compiled a 17-6 record in 30 starts, tallied 172 strikeouts in 205.2 innings and recorded a 2.93 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .230 batting average against him. Sakutaro Kawano of the San Antonio Outlaws finished second in voting, while Bob Anderson of the Jacksonville Hurricanes finished third. |
