Anaya Top Rookie in 2058 Thursday, November 7th , 2058 Today the Johnson League announced that Mexico City third baseman Juan Anaya is the winner of the 2058 Joe Gillstrom Newcomer of the Year. He finished the regular season with a .331 batting average, 39 doubles, 3 triples and 10 home runs. Anaya also had 56 RBIs and scored 62 times. Jeff Sawyers of the Calgary Pioneers finished second in voting, while Feng-yi Fung of the Phoenix Talons finished third. |
