Abe ‘Lincoln’ Caputo has been the cornerstone of the Chilis franchise since he was drafted 4th overall out of UCLA in the historic 2022 draft. He was the longest tenured Chili in history, playing from 2023-2032 and held the franchise record in many significant statistical categories at the end of his Chili career including: Hits (1,171) Home Runs (182) Doubles (241) Batting Average (.327) and RBI (628), amongst others. Caputo was constantly relied upon and consistently delivered, racking up 3 Silver Sluggers and a Gold Glove. 2026 was probably Caputo’s best season, winning the Silver Slugger as well as coming in second in the Silver League MVP voting while leading the Chilis to their only league championship in franchise history. Caputo left the Chilis as the unquestioned best hitter in franchise history and as a result, no Chili will wear his #16 again.

Pitcher of the Year:2029
Bobby Ortiz has been a stud for the Chilis, plain and simple. This is impressive considering all of the pitchers that have failed to be aces for the Chilis in the past due to their hitter friendly park dimensions. While Vandal was constantly on the trade block and not a favorite in the club house, it is impossible not to respect his performance on the field, especially in his 2029 Brad Limbach Pitcher of the Year season. Even though he got injured in his final season in Los Angeles, Ortiz finally was able to get a ring as the Chilis won the Silver League Championship in 2033. The mustachioed Ortiz was a small piece of consistency for the Los Angeles franchise during his tenor. He was signed prior to the Chilis final season in Premier League, won his pitcher of the year in a season that the Chilis were demoted to the Bronze League and continued to pitch well through their rebuild (most notably with incredible performances in games 1 and 3 of the 2031 BL promotion series) culminating in the team’s promotion to the Premier League in his final season. Ortiz’s constant production through adversity is what earned him his spot it the Los Angeles Chilis’ Hall of Fame.
