Blue Garners CAR Top Skipper Award
Friday, October 8th , 2055
The Carolina Mudcats called a press conference to announce that field manager Von Blue had been named Carolina League Manager of the Year earlier in the day. Staffers congratulated the 44-year-old baseball guru as he approached the podium.

"This city has allowed me to craft a winning ball club," said Blue. "When you take on a new job, there's always some adjustment period, but everyone here has been cooperative. From the bat boys on up. Here's to many more successful seasons for the Carolina Mudcats!"

Blue led Carolina to a 76-64 record this year and a second place finish in the Southern Division.
