5-Hit Blitz by Rucker Wednesday, July 21st , 2049 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Edwin Rucker is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Everett AquaSox at Everett Memorial Stadium today. The monster effort from the 19-year-old second baseman helped the Nashua Silver Knights take the win, 20-3. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said AquaSox manager Max Scherzer. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Edwin Rucker hit a solo-shot off Luis Morales in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 5th and doubled in the 6th.
