Milwaukee-Tampa Bay Deal: Livingston for Morrison
Monday, March 24th , 2053
Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Brewers announced today the acquisition of 33-year old LHP Tyrone Morrison from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for 18-year old minor league RHP Shawn Livingston. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Brewers, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams."
Tampa Bay will retain a portion of Morrison's remaining contract.
Over his career Morrison has compiled 25 saves, held opposing hitters to a .223 batting average, struck out 643 in 535 innings. His record is 31-25 with a 3.35 ERA.

Year Over for Tigers McKay
Friday, March 21st , 2053
The Detroit Tigers and their fans were rocked today by the news that star reliever Stan McKay would miss the rest of the season due to injury. McKay was hurt in a recent game against the Kansas City Royals while throwing a pitch. He was immediately removed from the game and taken for examination. Tests today revealed the injury was a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. His doctors think that McKay will miss about 9-10 months.
