Dodgers Rally Past Cubs for 1-0 Series Lead
The Los Angeles Dodgers slipped past the Chicago Cubs by the score of 3-2 today at Dodger Stadium in the first game of the Wild Card Series. Dodgers had to overcome a strong outing from Cubs starting right-hander Quoc-Tai Tran-Nhu, who threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball in the loss. With a 1-0 lead in the best-of-3 series, the Dodgers will have two chances to close out the Cubs.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Los Angeles trailing 2-1, Andy Kuecker jumped on a full count changeup from T.J. Banks for a 2-run home run, sending the Dodgers to a walk-off win.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Chicago manager Peter Cacciamani. "But we decided not to take it."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
