The Chicago Cubs picked up a win at Great American Ball Park, dropping the Cincinnati Reds, 4-2. Quoc-Tai Tran-Nhu, who finished 3rd in the NL in innings pitched with 208.1 last year, was the difference-maker. The save was credited to T.J. Banks, his 6th. The victory makes Chicago 9-14.

Chicago took the lead, 4-2, on Juan Flores's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Cincinnati pitcher Steve Hertel in the top of the ninth.

Flores attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
