Sod Poodles Hurler Named AA C's #1 Starter

The Pitcher of the Month Award in August has been selected and the Double-A Central honor went to Amarillo hurler, Luis Gabriel Malm. For his excellent performance he has been named the league's top pitcher.
During the month, Malm was superb with a 1.80 ERA and 3 wins and no losses. In 45 innings he struck out 34 and gave up 38 hits and 15 walks.
On the season Malm has compiled a 12-6 mark with a 2.75 ERA in 27 starts. In pitching 190 innings he has 151 strikeouts and 71 walks while limiting the opposition to a .231 batting average.

AA C's Best Batter Announced

Alexis Pacheco of the Tulsa Drillers certainly made a resounding impression on the Double-A Central pitching corps in August and today reaped the reward as the league's best batter for the period.
The center fielder put up some good offensive figures as he hit .292 with 11 home runs, 31 RBIs and 27 runs scored.
So far in 2031 Pacheco is batting .283 with 21 home runs, 68 RBIs and 57 runs scored. He has 86 hits in 304 at-bats and a .372 OBP.
