Chupp Helps Cardinals Run Win Streak to 6
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals get after it.
Good production from first baseman Dan Chupp helped the St. Louis Cardinals topple the New York Yankees, 8-6. Chupp went 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for the Cardinals. St. Louis has now won 6 straight.
Mike Kemerly, the 9th overall pick in the 2039 draft, chipped in a grand slam home run for St. Louis in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 RBI.
"I still think this team can play even better," Kemerly told the St. Louis Observer.
