Nicholas Paces Twins to 6-1 Win
|
The Boston Red Sox had their hands full with Minnesota Twins starter Mike Nicholas, who frustrated Boston hitters while leading Minnesota to a comfortable, 6-1 win. Minnesota is now 42-54.
Nicholas was effective for Minnesota, seldom allowing the Red Sox to square up a pitch. The left-hander tossed 91 pitches over 7 innings. He limited Boston to just 1 run on 1 hit.
"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Nicholas.
