In a low-scoring tilt between the Kansas City Royals and the Colorado Rockies, Lemarr Gayfield, who is the top prospect in the Royals organization, was the difference-maker. The Kansas City right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. In 7.1 innings, Gayfield surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Getting the save was Chris Rouse, his 21st.
