Rike Homers Twice in 11-6 Twins Win
The home crowd had a good time watching the Arizona Diamondbacks and Minnesota Twins get after it.

The 11-6 Minnesota win over Arizona was due in large part to Jim Rike. The Twins third baseman went 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5. Ismael Leal, the winning pitcher, improved to 7-10. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 8 and walking 1.

Early in the game, Rike had a 2-run home run for Minnesota. It was his 19th home run of the season and put the Twins on top, 3-1.

"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Rike.
