Jolla Stretches Hit String to 20 Monday, April 10th, 2028 Bob Jolla ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games today at Tribe Ballpark, when he collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Bakersfield HS Alouettes dropped the game, 7-2, to the Fontana HS Tribe. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Jolla said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Bob Jolla grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and singled in the 8th. Jolla on the season is hitting .364 with no home runs. His stats include 2 RBIs and 8 runs scored. |
