6-Hit Barrage by Curry Sunday, August 30th , 2043 Jim Curry was at the head of a Colorado hit parade today at Colorado Field. The left fielder went to the plate 6 times and came away with 6 hits, sparking the Rockies to a 15-9 victory over the Washington Nationals. "I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Curry told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today." Nationals skipper MIguel Del Castillo said later that the club gave up "too much plate." "Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Jim Curry singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Sam Totten in the 8th.
