Cardinals Suffer 8-1 Home Defeat
Cincinnati turned a fine outing from starter Hunter Greene into a victory over the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium. The final score was 8-1. Cincinnati, now 71-76, holds down third place in the National League Central Division.

Cincinnati used a clutch at-bat from Luke Maile to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Reds ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Said losing manager Gabe Kapler: "We need to play with more of an edge."
