Solis Holds Aqua Sox Scoreless
Tuesday, July 11th , 2090
Before the game, John Solis said he liked his chances. His instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing at Aqua Sox Ballpark, the Dust Devils pitcher blanked the Everett Aqua Sox 4-0.
"I just had a feeling it was going to be my day," Solis said in the clubhouse afterward. "My control was awesome. I could throw my changeup even when I was behind in the count."
The Tri-City starter held Everett scoreless, giving up 3 hits while registering 13 strikeouts and issuing no walks.
"We didn't have very many good at-bats," Aqua Sox manager said in a postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose."
This year Solis has notched no saves. He has 75 strikeouts and 18 walks in 55.1 innings while registering a 1.79 ERA and a 5-0 won-lost record.
