| Senger goes 3-for-5 to Power Mets Offense | New York N (GCL) catcher Hayden Senger contributed to his team's 13-7 win over the Washington (GCL) Nationals. Senger went 3 for 5 with 4 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Mets. Gabriel Cotto collected save number 1. Washington (GCL) falls to 0-5.
The Mets got a lift from center fielder Luke Boyers, who in the top of the fourth stroked a first pitch fastball into left for a run-scoring single. It was his 8th hit of the season and put the Mets ahead, 6-5.
"We'll try to build on that win," Senger told the New York N (GCL) Daily News.
