Cyclones Squelch Doubledays Offense in Shutout Win
|
The Brooklyn Cyclones went home winners at KeySpan Park, thanks in large part to starter Mark Walls. Walls stifled the Auburn Doubledays, enabling Brooklyn to grab the 5-0 win. The winning pitcher was Walls, now 3-1. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 6. The win for the Cyclones raised their record to 30-22.
The Cyclones picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Walls.
