Spikes Beck Raps 3 Homers
Tuesday, May 30th , 2023
Jordan Beck brutalized the Brooklyn Cyclones pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 7-5 victory at KeySpan Park. The State College Spikes left fielder was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day.
"I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one."
For the game, he went 3-for-4 with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"Too much Jordan Beck today," Cyclones manager Randy Tomlin said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to."
Jordan Beck hit a solo-shot off Luis Sapia in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Luis Sapia in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Tyler Covington in the 8th.
So far this year Beck has 3 home runs and a .333 batting average.
